This is also not for someone who simply wants to re-structure their debt. The reason being that this method if one of those credit score factors which can have a negative impact on your credit score. A debt which has been recorded as settled, rather than paid in full, will definitely affect your overall credit score in one way or another. This is the reason why this option should be considered as your last resort.
